‘ello happy people and welcome to the I know it’ll be late cross thread. Sorry about that, but scheduled shares don’t work on stuff that’s scheduled (gah kinja, why?) . This is the weekly pan-kinja cross thread, shared out to Whitenoise, Hackerspace, Groupthink, Odeck, Tay, Oppo, Backtalk, Clashtalk, and Powder Room. This week’s topic comes from a comment on one of St. Borg’s pic posts. I wanna know if any of ya’ll have ever been banned from somewhere and why, (or if you’ve ever had to ban someone) and I’ll even get the ball rolling:

About a decade ago, I got banned from a Judaica/silver shop in Mea Shearim (Jerusalem) ‘cause I wanted a refund. I’d bought something as a gift and then thought better of it, but I was unaware that refunds just were not a thing. Sat in the shop for hours stubbornly trying to get my money back; the storekeeper finally kinda caved and gave me most of my money back (minus something for taxes or some such) and told me I was never allowed back in the shop. Looking back, it was like $30 and therefore not worth the hassle at all, but I was 17 and it was my first time really out on my own (5 week learning thing in Israel) and I can be a stubborn idiot at times.
