So, hi, y'all. You might remember me. I haven't been around much lately, but since Slay is interested in getting The Powder Room to be more active again, I told her I'd try to post here on a weekly basis.
So, here I am.
I wasn't sure what to post, offhand, but it seems like these "ask a..." threads have been kinda popular. And I know people have said before that they like to hear about my teaching. So, here you go—open thread. Ask me anything you'd like to about teaching women's studies. (Or psychology. I also teach psychology, but obviously I expect there will be more interest in women's studies around these parts!)
As a caveat: I am going to do my best to avoid talking about specific students or incidents for a few reasons. First, talking about one's job online is still a questionable thing, and I don't really go out of my way to avoid being doxxed, so I'd rather not say anything that would get me in trouble. Second, I really try to be respectful to my students online. Honestly, I fail sometimes. Ok, I fail a lot. I've certainly been known to complain about them on Facebook, for example. But I'm trying, dammit.
